Role summary
Perform maintenance, installation, overhaul and modification on plant electrical machinery and equipment per standard maintenance procedures, HSE guidelines and quality standards to ensure effective functionality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Carry out daily electrical maintenance and routine preventative maintenance work per schedule and ACWA NOMAC procedures for continuous operations
- Monitor physical condition of equipment in assigned plant areas and report non-conformances to Electrical Engineer or Supervisor
- Respond to electrical failures and implement corrective actions per procedures to reduce downtime and maximize equipment functionality
- Troubleshoot using diagnostic tools to repair and test circuit and wiring faults and locate cable faults
- Diagnose causes of electrical malfunction in transformers, motors, relays, switches and control or monitoring devices
- Read and understand technical manuals and wiring diagrams and apply knowledge to maintenance and troubleshooting tasks
- Align, adjust and calibrate equipment per specifications and maintain repair, calibration and test records
- Check necessary stock levels of spare parts to support inventory control
- Update maintenance logbook with work details, defaults, problems, findings and equipment conditions
- Contribute to identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes and projects
- Adhere to organizational and departmental policies, processes and maintenance procedures
- Adhere to health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls
- Perform other duties as required by line manager
Qualifications
- Technical certificate or Associate's Diploma in Electrical Maintenance
Education
Technical certificate or Associate's Diploma in Electrical Maintenance
Experience
3-5 years in electrical maintenance as technician in installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and installations in plant environment
Skills
- Practical knowledge of relevant plant equipment
- Awareness of HSE and quality standards
- Teamwork and effective collaboration skills
- ISO awareness or working knowledge (preferred)
