Role summary
Lead, manage, monitor and report on HSSE performance of a Plant to ensure harm prevention and requisite HSSE management systems implementation in compliance with HSSE legal requirements, Group standards and contractual obligations.
Responsibilities
- Lead provision of technical and HSSE management support and leadership to Plant and employees
- Lead risk assessments and task reviews of key activities to identify and prevent HSSE hazards
- Report HSE Metrics and indicators and performance to HSE Country and Regional Manager
- Conduct regular meetings with HSSE Personnel at Regional and Corporate Level and prepare reports
- Guide development and implementation of HSSE campaigns to ensure proper HSSE Culture dissemination
- Manage execution of emergency drill scenarios and site emergency mock drills
- Ensure immediate reporting and responding to HSSE incidents using established protocols
- Lead investigations of reportable HSSE incidents to identify root causes
- Implement and enforce security strategies for Plant and office facilities
- Develop, implement and maintain Plant's HSSE management system
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor HSSE management and performance
- Maintain positive working relationships with regulators and emergency services
- Implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures
- Manage and motivate team to contribute to identification and implementation of change initiatives
- Perform other duties which line manager may require
- Manage self and team in line with ACWA Operations' people management policies
- Organize and supervise subordinates' activities to ensure efficient execution
- Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to subordinates
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree holder in Engineering or Safety Degree
- Certification from recognized HSSE institution such as NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH or IEMA
- Professional membership or association with international HSSE Institution

- 3-5 years' experience in HSSE in Utilities or Energy sector
