Role summary
Carry out maintenance, installation, overhauling and modification activities on plant electrical machinery and equipment per maintenance procedures, HSE guidelines and quality standards to ensure effective functionality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily electrical maintenance work and routine preventative maintenance according to set schedule and ACWA NOMAC procedures
- Monitor physical condition of all equipment in assigned plant and report non-conformances to Electrical Engineer or Supervisor
- Respond to electrical failures and implement corrective actions per procedures and guidelines to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot using necessary tools including diagnosis, repair and testing of circuit and wiring faults
- Locate cable faults to validate connection points can withstand capacity voltages
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions in transformers, motors, relays, switches and control and monitoring devices
- Read and understand technical manuals and wiring diagrams and apply knowledge to maintenance tasks
- Align, adjust and calibrate equipment according to specifications
- Maintain records of repairs, calibrations and tests
- Check spare parts stock levels to support effective inventory control
- Update maintenance logbook with work details, defaults, problems and equipment conditions
- Contribute to identification and implementation of change initiatives and projects
- Adhere to organizational and departmental policies and standard maintenance procedures
- Comply with health, safety, security and environmental procedures and instructions
- Perform additional duties as required by line manager
Qualifications
- Technical certificate or Associate's Diploma in Electrical Maintenance
- 3-5 years' experience in electrical maintenance as technician in installation, maintenance and repair in plant environment
- Practical knowledge of relevant plant equipment
- Awareness of HSE and quality standards
- Teamwork and effective collaboration skills
- ISO awareness and working knowledge preferred
Education
Technical certificate or Associate's Diploma in Electrical Maintenance
Experience
3-5 years in electrical maintenance as technician in installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment in plant environment
