Role summary
Carry out maintenance, installation, overhauling and modification activities on plant's electrical machinery and equipment in accordance with standard maintenance procedures, HSE guidelines and quality standards to attain effective functionality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Conduct required daily electrical maintenance work and routine preventative electrical maintenance according to set schedule and ACWA NOMAC procedures to facilitate continuous operations
- Monitor physical condition of all equipment in assigned plant and report non-conformances to Electrical Engineer or Electrical Supervisor to facilitate effective maintenance of all facilities per Quality and HSE standards
- Respond to electrical failures and implement corrective actions in adherence with procedures and guidelines to reduce downtime and maximize equipment functionality
- Troubleshoot using necessary tools including diagnosis, repairing and testing circuit or wiring faults; locating faults in cables to validate connection points and cables withstand capacity voltages
- Diagnose causes of electrical malfunction or failure of operational equipment such as transformers, motors, relays, switches and control and monitoring devices and take corrective measures in collaboration with Electrical Engineer or Electrical Supervisor
- Read and understand technical manuals, wiring diagrams and apply knowledge to carry out maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on assigned equipment
- Align, adjust and calibrate equipment according to specifications and maintain records of repairs, calibrations and tests
- Develop skills in major core fields to become BESS and HV system subject matter experts in Inverters and SCB and Strings and BESS Battery Energy Storage System and LV and HV apparatus and SCADA and Transformers and AIS up 220KV
- Check necessary stock levels of spare parts to support effective inventory control
- Update maintenance logbook and record details of work carried out including defaults, problems, findings and conditions of all equipment for timely availability and organized referencing
- Contribute to identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes and projects in line with organization's standards
- Complete Mishkaty TQP L4 with JPM for all site-specific contents of Uzbek PV Plants
- Adhere to all relevant organizational and departmental policies, processes, standard maintenance procedures and instructions so work meets required standard
- Adhere to all relevant health, safety, security and environmental procedures, instructions and controls to guarantee employee safety and environmental compliance
- Perform any other duties the line manager may require to be carried out
- Work closely with Electrical Supervisor, Engineers and Supervisors in Maintenance section and Operations Team
- Work with relevant contractors and vendors
Qualifications
- Technical certificate or Associate's Diploma in Electrical maintenance
- 2-5 years experience in electrical maintenance as technician or Supervisor in installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and installations in plant environment
- Good speaking and writing English communication skills
Requirements
- Knowledge in testing, commissioning of BESS, HV and MV system
- Strong PV and BESS Technology exposure; MV and HV Experience preferable
- Strong practical knowledge in BESS packages, HV and MV systems, capable of scheduling PM plans and execution, able to lead team of 4 to 6 for HV and MV maintenance
- Executing PM tasks as per schedules and adhering to them
- In-depth knowledge of substation equipment including transformers, circuit breakers, protective relays, and control systems
- 220 KV system most preferable
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software used for monitoring and optimizing PV and BESS plant performance
- Knowledge of maintenance management methods, predictive inspection tools and CMMS Computer Maintenance Management System
- Good knowledge of SAP Template desirable
- Experience of having conducted at least one outage for critical electrical equipment
- Teamwork and effective collaboration skills
- Basic idea on PV and BESS SCADA System and communication protocols
- Experience with AIS system at Uzbekistan preferable
Education
