Role summary
We are seeking a Commercial Data Analyst to join our Data Intelligence team. You will leverage Almosafer's end-to-end travel commerce data—including bookings, customer, pricing, supplier, and revenue data—to generate actionable insights that inform business strategy, optimize commercial performance, and enable data-driven decision-making across Sourcing, Revenue Management, Product, Sales, and Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Explore and analyze in-house datasets including transactional, sourcing, connectivity, and competitive intelligence data
- Conduct deep-dive and ad-hoc analyses to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that drive revenue and margin improvement
- Design and evaluate test scenarios to validate hypotheses and maximize the value of internal systems
- Translate data findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights and business recommendations
- Present analysis to stakeholders in compelling narrative, using visualizations and storytelling to support strategic decisions
- Deliver insights to wider audience and reiterate to generate impactful results and achieve regular success
- Contribute to development and evolution of Commercial Data Products by providing insights, testing hypotheses, and validating assumptions
- Help shape KPIs, reporting metrics, and dashboards aligned with business goals
- Proactively suggest opportunities for optimization and process improvement using data insights
- Stay up to date with industry trends and analytics tools to enhance analytical capabilities
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sourcing, Revenue Management, Product, Sales and Marketing
- Understand their data needs and deliver impactful analytical solutions
- Act as mutual data partner and advisor to cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders
- Design scalable, automated analytics solutions using tools such as SQL, Python, and cloud-based data platforms
- Ensure adherence to enterprise data governance and quality standards, working closely with Data Engineering and Governance teams
- Bridge Operations and Data Intelligence to ensure aligned data standards and methodologies
- Drive data literacy and analytical best practices across teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM, Business Analytics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience as Data Analyst, preferably in e-commerce, online travel, or digital-first businesses
- Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and advanced Excel
- Strong experience in Commercial, Digital Products or Data Analytics practices
- Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar for dashboard development and storytelling
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; English fluency
- Experience building and deploying machine learning models e.g. Pricing & Margin Optimization, Forecasting, Recommendations, Mapping
- Familiarity with big data warehouses such as Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, Snowflake
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM, Business Analytics, or related field
