Role summary
Drives financial performance across Freight and Logistics operations in Saudi Arabia through effective revenue control, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis. Acts as a strategic business partner to commercial and operational teams, providing financial insights and recommendations that support informed decision-making, margin improvement, and sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee timely and accurate revenue recognition across Freight and Logistics operations
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
- Drive review and validation of accruals, billing accuracy, and revenue assurance processes
- Identify and address potential revenue leakages
- Partner with operational leadership to ensure completeness and accuracy of shipment data
- Establish and continuously improve revenue control mechanisms
- Lead comprehensive cost and profitability analysis across freight and logistics activities
- Monitor and challenge margin performance across products, customers, and service offerings
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability
- Identify and drive margin enhancement initiatives through cost optimization
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Develop and present monthly performance reports, financial dashboards, and KPIs
- Proactively identify financial risks, opportunities, and emerging business trends
- Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy and financial visibility
- Act as trusted Finance Business Partner to freight and logistics leadership teams
- Provide financial leadership and analytical support for pricing strategies and customer tenders
- Supply financial insights for network optimization, routing decisions, and supplier negotiations
- Influence commercial and operational decision-making through data-driven insights
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Logistics, or related field
- 8 years of experience in finance, ideally in freight and logistics operations
- At least 3 years in a controlling or FP&A role
- Strong knowledge of freight and logistics costing models
- Solid understanding of revenue recognition principles and IFRS
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling capabilities
- Experience with cost allocation, route costing, and yield analysis
Requirements
- Professional certification (CMA, ACCA, CPA) preferred
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP or CW)
- Experience with business intelligence tools
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Logistics, or related field
