Role summary
The Area 3 Field Engineer reports to the Lead Field Engineer. You will manage a team of Field Engineers and provide field engineering leadership for work planning and packaging, material management, quantity validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover and subcontracts.
Responsibilities
- Provide discipline-based technical oversight and compliance of contractors, ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, standards, schedules, ES&H plans, quality requirements, and applicable local and national safety regulations.
- Coordinate across disciplines and with Engineering teams to provide timely and accurate information to Construction teams.
- Monitor contractor performance within the discipline, including project status, schedule adherence, cost control, and change management activities.
- Work across multiple disciplines as required by project needs.
- Lead site-based technical coordination with contractors, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Lead reviews to ensure continuous availability of construction work fronts through assessment of look-ahead schedules, commodity charts, resource plans, engineering deliverables, material delivery schedules, contractor submittals, and other service requirements.
- Ensure all required permits and licenses are in place prior to commencement of site activities and verify compliance with all permit and license requirements.
- Manage a team of Field Engineers responsible for reviewing and approving contractor submittals, technical queries, field change documents, drawings, as-built documents, and other technical documentation.
- Ensure all materials and equipment delivered to site comply with applicable international standards and technical specifications.
- Ensure project closeout activities are completed systematically and comprehensively.
- Maintain effective working relationships with functional departments and coordinate all jobsite contractual activities.
- Provide technical guidance and advice to Construction Engineers and contractors and monitor their performance.
- Coordinate and monitor interfaces with other contractors and lead interface review meetings.

- Previous, related, working experience in the middle-east is highly preferred.

Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)
