Role summary
Bechtel provides project management consultancy services for the modern King Salman International Airport in Riyadh. The BIM Coordinator will lead implementation of BIM processes to support project delivery, including management of multi-functional collaboration environments and BIM model management and coordination.
Responsibilities
- Ensure coordination of BIM activities including coordinate systems, standard templates, clash management, and design reviews, shared and complied with among design subcontractors
- Provide BIM production support to project teams and champion maintenance of Common Data Environment, model federation and interference management, quality checking of deliverables, model coordination, and deliverable generation
- Develop and enhance, communicate, and institutionalize standardized BIM workflows to project stakeholders and subcontractors
- Develop and enhance standard processes for BIM and 3D model health checks against project requirements
- Maintain the project Exchange Information Requirements for flow-down to supply chain
- Train project delivery teams on Common Data Environment and associated BIM workflows
- Develop standard workflows for interoperability between BIM/CAD and GIS
- Conduct regular assessments to review BIM Execution Plan implementation and compliance
- Provide operational support to BIM coordinators at third-party engineering consultants, design firms, and subcontractors
- Participate regularly with off-project functional BIM teams for training and knowledge sharing
- Develop processes to integrate BIM/3D models with schedules for 4D simulations
- Develop processes to integrate BIM/3D models with Quantity Take-Off templates
- Ensure project meets information requirements and standards including ISO 19650
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in relevant field
- 5 or more years of experience in a BIM role
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams in project delivery environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to relay BIM/CIM and technology solutions
- Ability to facilitate meetings with project management and client-facing presentations
