Role summary
Cost Engineer responsible for preparing cost forecasts, reviewing cost trends, and implementing project requirements for cost control on the Ar Rjum Project. Your detailed analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cost budgets and accurate cost and cashflow forecasts utilising the change management system
- Perform ongoing cost and cash flow analysis
- Monitor progress of contractors, verify monthly incurred costs, prepare monthly accruals and provide variance analysis
- Ensure approved trends and changes are incorporated into the overall project estimate at completion and budget for cost and quantities
- Prepare routine performance reports and special studies related to assigned scope for presentation to project, corporate, and/or customer management teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project/Construction Management or related fields (or international equivalent)
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience; alternatively, 12 to 15 years of relevant work experience
Requirements
- Proficiency in PC operating systems and multi-discipline specific software applications (EcoSys, PowerBI, Microsoft applications)
- Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated ability to present Project Controls information to management/client
- Demonstrated skill in identifying, analysing, and solving problems
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project/Construction Management or related fields (or international equivalent)
Experience
8 to 12 years of relevant experience; alternatively, 12 to 15 years of relevant work experience
