Role summary
Join the Cisco Professional Services Security practice, a team of architects and consultants dedicated to helping enterprise customers increase their investment in Cisco's security portfolio, specifically Splunk SIEM, SOAR, and AI-driven security operations. We handle projects from initial discovery and design phases through implementation and ongoing operations. We work closely with product, engineering, and customer success teams to refine delivery methods and internal tools, ensuring customers receive optimal results from their security technology.
Responsibilities
- Provide authority guidance within the Splunk security domain, exhibiting deep expertise in SIEM, SOAR, and Observability integrations
- Lead sophisticated, multi-functional security projects, acting as trusted partner to CISO and IT leadership
- Lead strategic planning, composition, and implementation of tailored Splunk security architectures to mitigate risk and improve technology investments
- Apply sophisticated AI and automation tools to optimize security operations, automate incident response, and improve detection efficacy
- Develop and maintain high-value relationships, ensuring technical alignment with customer security objectives
- Define and implement documentation standards for sophisticated security deployments, ensuring transparency and structure for technical assets
- Build and apply advanced simulation environments; provide authority support for sophisticated security issues and platform challenges
- Build technical skills across the team, serving as domain expert on Plan, Design, Implement, and Optimize methodologies
- Synthesize customer feedback to prioritize and advocate for Splunk product and service improvements
- Apply expertise in security orchestration, automation, and AI Ops to deliver innovative, scalable customer outcomes
- Lead creation of digital assets, procedures, and standardized methodologies for Splunk security engagements
- Collaborate with Product Management to track security trends, influence service offerings, and share actionable customer insights
Qualifications
- University degree plus equivalent experience, minimum 8+ years
- Expert-level certification in Splunk such as Splunk Certified Architect, Splunk Certified Consultant, or equivalent relevant security certification
- Demonstrable experience in customer-facing advisory roles, including defining project scope, estimating effort, and drafting statements of work
