Role summary
The Treasury Lead is responsible for managing the organization's daily treasury operations, liquidity, cash flow, trade finance activities, and financial risk management. The role ensures sufficient liquidity to support business operations, maintains strong banking relationships, optimizes funding and cash utilization, and safeguards the organization's financial assets while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal governance requirements. Working closely with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and banking partners, the Treasury Lead drives treasury operational excellence, supports strategic financial initiatives, and continuously improves treasury processes through automation and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily treasury operations, including cash positioning, liquidity management, and cash forecasting
- Develop and maintain short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Optimize liquidity across multiple bank accounts, legal entities, and currencies
- Monitor and manage foreign exchange exposure and interest rate risks
- Ensure compliance with treasury policies, financial regulations, and internal governance requirements
- Manage Bank Guarantees, Letters of Credit, and other trade finance instruments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and financial institutions
- Negotiate banking facilities, pricing, fees, and financing arrangements
- Support the integration and optimization of banking platforms with ERP systems to improve automation and operational efficiency
- Prepare executive treasury reports covering cash flow, liquidity, debt, investments, and treasury performance
- Identify opportunities to improve treasury controls, reporting, and operational processes
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and external stakeholders to ensure efficient treasury operations
- Support internal and external audit activities related to treasury operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Corporate Treasury
- Minimum of 2 years in a Treasury leadership or senior supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of cash management, liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, and trade finance
- Experience managing banking relationships and corporate financing activities
- Strong understanding of foreign exchange, interest rate risk, and treasury controls
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Corporate Treasury and minimum of 2 years in a Treasury leadership or senior supervisory role
