Role summary
KBR is seeking an experienced Rotating Technician II to maintain rotating equipment in good condition and perform installation, maintenance and repair of rotating equipment and mechanical systems to required standards.
Responsibilities
- Allocate maintenance activities to various technicians and assemble the team
- Supervise all ongoing jobs and update progress to Foreman
- Organize manpower resources, equipment and materials availability
- Arrange necessary work permits before starting work
- Provide technical advice to technicians on proper tools and equipment usage
- Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance Planning and Technical departments to execute and complete jobs
- Ensure SAP data input, history and actual hours are maintained
- Attend daily and weekly maintenance progress meetings
- Maintain strict compliance with SATORP standards and guidelines
- Ensure compliance of safe work practices, hazardous work regulations and PPE usage per SATORP standards
- Encourage reporting of near misses, unsafe conditions and unsafe acts
- Participate in safety audits
- Attend scheduled safety and technical training
Qualifications
- Minimum 4-6 years' experience in oil and gas maintenance
- Diploma or bachelor's degree
- Strong technical understanding of maintenance management of oil and gas facilities
- Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills
- Proven leadership skills with large organizations
- Maturity of judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems
- Strategic management skills
- Ability to achieve business results in multicultural environments
