Role summary
KBR seeks an Electrical Technician to execute maintenance activities focused on compliance with preventive and predictive maintenance plans and efficient breakdown maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and facilities, applying best and safe maintenance practices.
Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day electrical maintenance activities on electrical systems, equipment and facilities in designated area of responsibility
- Ensure compliance with SATORP's Safety and Quality procedures during electrical maintenance activities execution
- Ensure proper execution of work and check routine maintenance activities
- Carry out repairing and troubleshooting activities on electrical assets in timely and quality manner
- Receive work directions from respective Electrical Supervisor regarding electrical systems maintenance orders and requests
- Follow-up on electrical maintenance work progress and submit regular progress reports to Electrical Supervisor
- Keep records of daily maintenance works against planned maintenance programs and prepare work completion reports
- Enforce SATORP's policies, procedures and regulations ensuring all safety measures are taken during maintenance works
- Perform preventive maintenance on HV and LV switchgear and control gears including testing of electronic protection relays, power circuit breakers, bus bars, contactors, motor starters and ATS
- Perform readings of partial discharge capacitor in HV motor
- Perform on-line analysis of current signature of motors
- Perform testing on all kinds of transformers
- Support switchgear operations in electrical substation when requested
- Perform other related duties as assigned by respective Electrical Leader
Qualifications
- Diploma holder in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years' experience in Oil & Gas maintenance – High School level
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Oil & Gas maintenance – Diploma level
- Hold valid certification issued by recognized third-party certification body or accredited Saudi institute attesting to competency to perform required works
- Strong technical understanding of maintenance management of Oil & Gas Facilities

- Strong knowledge of maintaining and repairing electrical systems
- Good knowledge of electrical equipment design, installation and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of maintaining and repairing mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems
- Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance principles and working procedures
- Strong knowledge of standards, procedures and regulations for Health, Safety and Environmental preservation
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to perform work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Synergic and capable of handling multiple tasks
- Good command of oral and written English

Education
Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
Experience
Minimum 4 years in Oil & Gas maintenance (High School level) or Minimum 2 years in Oil & Gas maintenance (Diploma level)
