Role summary
KBR seeks an Insulation Fitter responsible for removing and repairing hot and cold insulation. Minimum five years' experience in Oil & Gas maintenance required. High School education needed.
Responsibilities
- Apply, remove, and repair insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, and other mechanical systems at SATORP Plants
- Determine amounts and types of insulation needed and installation methods based on location, surface shape, and equipment use
- Install sheet metal around insulated pipes using screws to protect insulation from weather and physical damage
- Prepare surfaces for insulation application by brushing or spreading adhesives
- Select appropriate insulation materials including fiberglass, Styrofoam, or cork based on heat-retaining characteristics
- Maintain awareness of HSE rule compliance
- Possess proper knowledge of plant hazardous materials
- Demonstrate proper knowledge of PPE and its use
