Role summary
KBR seeks a Maintenance Superintendent to manage daily Support Service activities including welding, fabrication, scaffolding, insulation, and heavy lift and rigging divisions. The Superintendent leads department operations, manages resources and equipment, and ensures compliance with HSE standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead overall department functions with direction to employees, evaluation, coordination and task completion within established timelines and organizational policies
- Participate in development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and priorities
- Prepare, optimize and track preventive maintenance schedules for equipment to minimize breakdowns through effective monitoring and scheduling
- Manage day-to-day activities of Support Service including welding and fabrication shop, scaffolding and insulation workshop, heavy lift and rigging division
- Manage planned or unplanned equipment repairs
- Manage resources, equipment and machinery to site for routine and emergency situations
- Review work plans and job requests to allocate resources, monitor workflow and procedures
- Meet and discuss with team to identify gaps and resolve problems
- Review weekly plans and provide feedback to planning team for schedule compliance
- Coordinate with internal departments, external workshops and OEM dealers for repairs, parts and issues
- Manage and lead to ensure all equipment and workshop facilities are maintained and meet HSE standards
- Conduct regular safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
- Manage, recommend and schedule employee safety and technical training
- Manage and review daily, weekly and monthly maintenance performance reports, timesheets and KPIs
- Respond promptly in case of emergency
- Ensure reporting of any incident, accident or violation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Previous experience as maintenance engineer in refining environment or equivalent
- 12+ years of refinery plant experience
- Good knowledge of refinery equipment
- Ability to manage maintenance contracts
- Knowledge of safety rules
- Proven ability to resolve problems as leader in large organizations
- Well organized, proactive and strong communication skills
- Maturity of judgement under pressure
- Strategic mind open to new ideas
- Demonstrated capacity to achieve positive results in multicultural environment

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
