Role summary
KBR is seeking an HSE Manager to establish a Health, Safety and Environment Management System compliant with OHSAS and ISO standards and monitor its compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop all required documentation, operational checks and reports for HSE Management System compliant with OHSAS and ISO standards, including corrective and preventive measures
- Monitor HSE controllers in executing continuous audits
- Manage HSE controllers and coordinate their audit schedule
- Investigate root cause of HSE complaints from staff and report results to HSEQ manager
- Coordinate and participate in investigation of accidents and near misses
- Audit work performed with Safe Work Permit
- Assist with implementation of Job Safety Analysis and inspect job site activities during hazardous work situations
- Assist Company management in preparation and presentation of field HSE meetings
- Review and analyse accidents and near miss incidents and make corrective action recommendations
- Ensure regular emergency response exercises and drills are conducted for highest preparedness level
- Maintain records of drills and provide recommendations for emergency response improvements
- Assist in developing and implementing field location emergency response procedures and evacuation plans
- Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics and presentations related to HSE performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety, Environment Management, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 12+ years experience in refinery or petrochemical with HSE section
- Fluent in writing and reading English
- Good knowledge of SAP system
- Fair knowledge in process operations of plant
- Good technical understanding of maintenance execution management
- Strong knowledge in root cause analysis (RCA)
- Good technical understanding of people management
- Strong technical understanding of HSE requirements
- Well organised and proactive
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven leadership skills with large organisations
- Maturity of judgement under pressure and ability to resolve problems
- Strategic thinking, open to new ideas
- Ability to achieve business results in multi-cultural environment
Education
Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety, Environment Management, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
Experience
Minimum 12+ years in refinery or petrochemical with HSE section
