Role summary
KBR seeks an Instrument Technician with deep expertise in maintaining engineering systems in the Oil & Gas sector. The candidate leads daily maintenance activities, ensures compliance with safety procedures, and improves system efficiency through supervision and technical recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and coordinate daily Instrument maintenance activities across all systems, equipment and facilities within designated area of responsibility
- Serve as focal point for daily Instrument maintenance execution plan
- Ensure technicians comply with and apply SATORP's Safety and Quality procedures during Instrument maintenance activities
- Conduct frequent site visits to verify proper work execution and monitor technicians engaged in routine maintenance
- Lead and direct technicians assigned to the area
- Receive work directions from Instrument foreman regarding maintenance orders and ensure directions translate into action
- Follow up on Instrument maintenance work progress and submit regular progress reports to Instrument foreman with recommendations
- Maintain records of daily maintenance works against planned maintenance programs and prepare work completion reports where applicable
- Work closely with Instrument foreman to recommend and implement improvements to Instrument system availability and reliability
- Assist in implementing engineering modifications and enhancements by recommending changes to increase Instrument system suitability and serviceability
- Enforce SATORP's policies, procedures and regulations and ensure safety measures are strictly observed during onsite maintenance
- Demonstrate proactive safety aptitude and behavior
- Ensure personnel have skills, training and resources needed to conduct routine maintenance activities safely and effectively per contract terms
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years' experience in Oil & Gas maintenance with High School diploma
- Minimum 6 years' experience in Oil & Gas maintenance with Diploma
- Hold valid certification from recognized third-party certification body or accredited Saudi institute attesting qualifications and competency to perform works
- Strong technical understanding of maintenance management of Oil & Gas Facilities
- Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills
- Proven leadership skills with large organizations
- Maturity of judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems
- Strategic management skills
- Ability to achieve business results working in multi-cultural environment
- Flexibility to travel internationally and live in KSA
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of maintaining and repairing Instrument systems
- Good knowledge in Instrument equipment design, installation and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of maintaining and repairing Mechanical and electro hydraulic systems
- Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance principles and working procedures
- Strong knowledge of standards, procedures and regulations for Health, Safety and Environmental preservation
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to perform work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Synergic and capable of handling multiple tasks
- Good command of oral and written English
