Role summary
Machinist needed to set up, program, and operate workshop machines for manufacturing precision components according to technical drawings. Ensures quality through precise measurements, troubleshoots issues, maintains equipment, and adheres to safety and production standards.
Responsibilities
- Receive jobs, work instructions, drawings, and specifications from Supervisor and perform work
- Use appropriate tools and equipment; operate heavy duty specialized tools from Central tool room
- Operate basic machine tools including grinder, power saw, drill press, threading machine
- Perform all installation and maintenance works according to procedures and guidelines
- Carry out necessary testing including Hydro and Pneumatic tests
- Obtain necessary work permits before starting work
- Maintain strict compliance with SATORP safety standards
- Consult with Supervisor regarding technical issues
- Perform good housekeeping during and after job completion
- Achieve job completion to quality and schedule per company standards
- Comply with all Safety, Health and Environment standards and procedures
- Report all near misses, unsafe conditions and acts
- Attend Safety and Technical training as scheduled
Qualifications
- Experience in manual lathe machines
- Experience in horizontal boring machines
- Experience in milling machines
- Familiarity with fabrication of components and tools
- Experience in tool design
- Ability to interpret cross-sectional and dimensional drawings
- Average fluency in English communication
Requirements
- Hold valid certification from recognized third party certification body or accredited Saudi institute attesting competency to perform works
- Strong technical understanding of maintenance management in Oil & Gas facilities
Education
High School diploma or higher technical certification
Experience
Minimum 8 years in Oil & Gas maintenance with High School education, or Minimum 6 years in Oil & Gas maintenance with Diploma
