Role summary
KBR is seeking a Valve Technician II to maintain rotating equipment in good condition. Install, maintain, and repair rotating equipment and mechanical systems to required standards.
Responsibilities
- Allocate maintenance activities to various technicians and assemble team
- Supervise all ongoing jobs and update progress to foreman
- Organize manpower resources, equipment and materials availability
- Arrange necessary work permits before starting work
- Provide technical advice to technicians regarding proper tools and equipment
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance planning and technical departments
- Ensure SAP data input, history and actual hours are maintained
- Attend daily and weekly maintenance progress meetings
- Maintain strict compliance with SATORP standards and guidelines
- Ensure compliance of safe work practices, hazardous work regulations and PPE usage
- Encourage reporting of near miss, unsafe conditions and acts
- Participate in safety audits
- Attend safety and technical training as scheduled
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-4 years experience in oil and gas maintenance with diploma or bachelor's degree
- Strong technical understanding of maintenance management of oil and gas facilities
- Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills
- Proven leadership skills with large organizations
- Maturity of judgment under pressure and problem resolution ability
- Strategic management skills
- Ability to achieve business results in multicultural environment
