Role summary
Responsible for operating and maintaining advanced servo-driven press lines, ensuring efficient shaping and forming of high-quality metal components while upholding production excellence, safety standards, and continuous improvement within the stamping production area.
Responsibilities
- Operate servo-driven tandem press lines to produce automotive structure parts
- Set up automation systems and configure servo press machines to meet job specifications
- Load blanks to the destocked, ensuring smooth production flow
- Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance
- Monitor press operation to identify quality issues and address them promptly
- Utilize Siemens HMI screens to perform diagnostics and resolve machine faults
- Lead/execute automatic die changes and setting up the press line for new jobs
- Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and timelines while adhering to safety protocols
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and perform machine setup, troubleshooting, and quality checks
- Hands-on experience with press machines, including automatic die changes and Siemens HMI diagnostics
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with quality assurance practices and resolving machine-related quality issues
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and safety-conscious environment
Education
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
Experience
1–3 years of stamping experience, preferably with Schuler Tandem Servo Presses
