Role summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Team Lead, Electrical who will be a member of the Stamping Maintenance Team and be responsible for maintaining equipment in our world-class greenfield stamping plant. You will lead a highly qualified team in maintaining and repairing electrical systems on stamping presses and automation equipment, troubleshooting breakdowns, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and mentoring technicians to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency. Excellent attendance is crucial for team success. You must have the ability to work with various teams in a fast-paced stamping environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the electrical maintenance team to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on stamping presses, robots, laser blanker, automation equipment, and related machinery
- Conduct detailed inspections, diagnose electrical system failures, and perform repairs on electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical systems
- Rapidly respond to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes of electrical malfunctions, and restore productivity in a timely manner
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules and plans to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA and other safety standards, promote a strong safety culture, and maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with production supervisors and team leaders to align maintenance efforts with production goals and ensure efficient workflow
- Train maintenance technicians and operators on electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and parts inventory
Qualifications
- High school diploma; additional education or apprenticeship is a plus
- 7+ years of stamping maintenance experience, preferably with servo tandem line and blanker operations
