Role summary
The Aerodrome Systems Maintenance Team is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting all aerodrome systems, PBBs, VDGS, AGL, and lighting systems, to ensure safe and efficient operations. The team works collaboratively to perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks, adhering to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of navigation aids, PBBs, VDGS, AGL, and lighting systems
- Perform emergency repairs promptly to minimize operational disruptions and ensure safety
- Implement and adhere to maintenance schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed on time
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, documenting all work performed and issues
- Monitor the condition of aerodrome systems and report any issues or potential hazards
- Use maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively, following all safety protocols
- Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions to stay prepared
- Utilize maintenance resources efficiently, minimizing waste and maximizing productivity
- Assist in monitoring expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities in maintenance
- Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and materials
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international aviation regulations and standards
- Report safety concerns and incidents promptly to the Senior Manager
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety management systems
- Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and regulatory authorities
- Support positive relationships with stakeholders by providing accurate information
- Analyze maintenance processes and identify areas for improvement
- Participate in the development and testing of new maintenance technologies
- Provide feedback on maintenance procedures and tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in aerodrome maintenance or a related field
