Role summary
The Aeronautical Business Development General Manager is responsible for identifying, optimizing, and growing aeronautical business opportunities to maximize revenue generation potential in alignment with Dammam Airports's overall strategy. This role involves strategic planning, stakeholder management, and leading a high-performing team to achieve commercial objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute aeronautical business plans aligned with Dammam Airports's objectives and growth targets
- Identify and secure new opportunities for airline customers and cargo carriers
- Focus on new routes, increased frequencies, and aircraft upgrading
- Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and global developments
- Identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions
- Strengthen relationships with airlines, cargo operators, and general aviation stakeholders
- Lead participation in regional and global Routes Conferences
- Promote the airport's offerings and attract new carriers
- Negotiate with airlines to increase fleet allocation and seat capacity
- Oversee aeronautical marketing plans in coordination with Commercial Business Intelligence
- Ensure effective alignment between airline network plans, traffic forecasts, and airport capacity
- Monitor and assess performance of current routes
- Implement improvements to optimize service quality and revenue
- Manage division budget and implement cost-saving measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years of total experience in aviation or airport business development
- Strong focus on aeronautical business strategies and route development
