Role summary
Oversees the Financial Excellence division, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance of financial operations. Focuses on implementing effective financial control processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and managing financial risks to support organizational strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial control strategies and methodologies for robust financial management
- Ensure strict adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal financial policies across all operations
- Conduct regular financial audits and reviews to verify accuracy and reliability of financial data and regulatory compliance
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks by developing adequate risk management controls and processes
- Optimize financial processes and workflows by integrating advanced technologies and best practices
- Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations for improvement
- Oversee preparation and review of financial statements for three airports ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Implement process improvements to streamline financial operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity for three airports
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Financial Excellence team with clear performance goals and continuous feedback
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and implement development programs
- Oversee Controllership and Project Accounting teams ensuring alignment with divisional and organizational objectives
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic financial plans aligned with long-term organizational objectives across three airports
- Participate in formulating corporate strategies, providing financial insights and decision-making support
- Ensure alignment of divisional activities with organizational strategic goals driving growth and sustainability initiatives
- Lead development and execution of financial strategies enhancing organizational financial health for three airports
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders ensuring smooth financial operations and organizational goal alignment
- Communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership and Board of Directors
- Engage with external stakeholders including auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions
- Oversee development and implementation of annual budget and financial planning processes
- Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions for financial targets
- Offer financial forecasts and scenario analyses for strategic planning and decision-making
- Ensure timely and accurate financial data availability for budgeting and planning activities
- Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and standards providing accurate timely financial information
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks supporting strategic decision-making
- Develop and maintain financial reporting systems and tools enhancing reporting quality and efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Financial Controllership division
- Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance financial operations
- Monitor industry trends and developments identifying improvement and innovation opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years of experience in controllership or related roles
- At least 5 years in a senior manager position
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
