Role summary
Parsons is seeking a talented DLP & Snagging Professional to join our team. The professional is responsible for identification, coordination, tracking, and close-out of defects, snags, and Defects Liability Period (DLP) obligations across assigned assets. The role provides focused support for DLP and snagging activities, works closely with project teams, consultants, contractors, service providers and internal stakeholders. It ensures defects are recorded, prioritised, rectified, evidenced and closed in accordance with contractual obligations, handover requirements, operational standards and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day DLP and snagging management across assigned assets
- Ensure defects, incomplete works and readiness issues are identified, logged, prioritised and progressed
- Participate in inspections, joint walkthroughs, snagging reviews and close-out validation
- Maintain accurate defect and snag registers with clear ownership, priority, target dates and evidence
- Monitor DLP obligations and contractor performance including rectification progress and response times
- Support asset handover and operational readiness by reviewing documentation and acceptance evidence
- Use CAFM/CMMS systems, snagging platforms and dashboards for defect tracking and reporting
- Assess defects from operational risk perspective regarding safety and compliance
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including hard services, soft services and project teams
- Contribute to governance reviews, readiness meetings and contractor performance discussions
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members on close-out and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Asset Management, Project Management, Building Services or related discipline
- Minimum 6 years' experience in construction completion, asset handover, DLP management, snagging, facilities management, operations readiness or O&M
- Experience in senior professional or supervisory capacity managing and coordinating contractors, consultants or service providers
- Desirable experience within master-planned cities, mixed-use developments, entertainment destinations, infrastructure assets or large-scale developments in Saudi Arabia, GCC or similar markets
Requirements
- DLP governance support, snagging management, defect tracking, rectification coordination and close-out control
- Asset handover, operational readiness, completion inspections, acceptance criteria and transition to steady-state operations
- Understanding of hard services, soft services, public realm, infrastructure, utilities, roads, landscaping and building services interfaces
- Contractor governance, warranty management, SLA/KPI monitoring, inspections, audits and compliance reviews
- Proficiency in CAFM/CMMS systems, snagging platforms, dashboards, work order control and evidence management
- Awareness of health, safety and statutory compliance, permit-to-work processes and operational risk assessment
- Strong stakeholder coordination, escalation management, meeting participation and cross-functional issue resolution
- Commercial awareness, basic contract interpretation, liability tracking and cost impact understanding
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Asset Management, Project Management, Building Services or related discipline
Experience
Minimum 6 years' experience in construction completion, asset handover, DLP management, snagging, facilities management, operations readiness or O&M, including experience in senior professional or supervisory capacity
