Role summary
Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an accomplished Director - Procurement for Transport to lead procurement initiatives within our Transport division. This role demands a strategic leader with expertise in procurement management, particularly focused on transportation projects, to support the development of Qiddiya as a premier entertainment and lifestyle destination.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies tailored to the transport sector's requirements
- Lead the procurement lifecycle including sourcing, supplier evaluation, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management specific to transport-related goods and services
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define procurement needs and ensure timely delivery aligned with project schedules
- Manage supplier performance, risk, and compliance ensuring quality standards are met consistently
- Stay abreast of transport industry procurement trends, technologies, and market movements to drive innovation and cost-efficiency
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and governance frameworks
- Prepare detailed procurement reports and KPIs for senior leadership to facilitate informed decision-making
- Lead and develop procurement team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of procurement experience with at least 5 years in transport or infrastructure-related procurement
- Proven track record of managing complex procurement projects and supplier contracts in the transport sector
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience leading and developing procurement teams to deliver high performance
- Familiarity with procurement regulations and practices within Saudi Arabia is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Education
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field; Master's degree preferred
Experience
Minimum 10 years of procurement experience with at least 5 years in transport or infrastructure-related procurement
