Role summary
Qiddiya Investment Company seeks an innovative and strategic leader as Director - Design. You will shape design philosophy and oversee design direction for all development projects, ensuring they are groundbreaking and aligned with the company's vision of excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement design strategies aligned with Qiddiya's overarching goals and vision
- Lead and inspire a diverse team of designers and architects, fostering creativity and collaboration
- Oversee design development processes from initial concept through to project completion
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure design solutions are practical, innovative, and reflect community engagement
- Review and approve design proposals, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and regulatory compliance
- Stay abreast of global design trends and best practices, integrating these insights into project initiatives
- Manage project timelines and budgets effectively, ensuring deliverables are met within expected parameters
- Engage with clients and stakeholders, presenting design concepts and incorporating their feedback into the design process
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- 12+ years of professional experience in design leadership roles, preferably in real estate or entertainment sectors
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and manage creative teams
- Exceptional communication skills with expertise in presenting complex design solutions to various audiences
- Proven track record of successfully delivering high-impact design projects on time and within budget
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices
Education
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, or related field
