Role summary
Qiddiya Investment Company seeks an accomplished Executive Director Commercial to lead all commercial activities within large-scale Construction Development at Qiddiya. This senior leadership position drives commercial strategy, manages high-value contracts, and ensures successful project delivery aligned with Qiddiya's vision. The Executive Director Commercial steers commercial operations, contract negotiations, risk management, and stakeholder engagement across large-scale construction development projects. Leadership of a dynamic commercial team fosters a high-performance culture focused on delivering value, efficiency, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies supporting project and company goals
- Lead negotiations and management of contracts ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to optimize project commercial performance
- Collaborate closely with project directors, legal teams, and external partners managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes and systems enhancing efficiency and transparency
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to the commercial team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field
- Master's degree or professional qualifications such as RICS or MCIOB highly desirable
- 15+ years experience in commercial management within large-scale construction development sector
- At least 7 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven expertise in contract negotiation, commercial strategy development, and risk management
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million dollar project budgets and forecasts
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, complex, and multicultural environment
- Experience with Middle Eastern construction markets and relevant regulatory environments preferred
- Proficiency in commercial management software and project management tools
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field
Experience
15+ years of experience in commercial management within large-scale construction development sector, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role
