Role summary
A key member of the Central Development Unit's Design Excellence vertical, leading digital design and BIM standards across complex development projects. Supports and enables strategic relationships through establishing and maintaining critical tools, processes and frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Champion QIC's "Safety First" value with confidence in exercising Stop Work authority and engaging in health, safety and wellbeing standards
- Display positive workplace behaviors aligned with Qiddiya Values consistently
- Manage, coach and mentor junior staff to enable department deliverables, behaviors and safety culture
- Manage digital design processes ensuring adherence to BIM standards and SGR methodology
- Oversee designers and BIM specialists teams providing support and direction on daily activities
- Implement digital twin concepts into projects ensuring effective data integration and usage
- Ensure BIM policy compliance and validate delivery quality through regular checks
- Generate project progress and efficiency metrics reports suggesting improvements based on data analysis
- Engage with clients understanding needs and incorporating feedback into digital design outputs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, Project Management or related field
- Master's degree would be an advantage
- Professional registration in respective discipline or equivalent such as Chartered Engineer would be an advantage
Requirements
- Minimum seven years' relevant experience in Engineering design within developers, contractors or consultants
- Flexibility and adaptability responding to changing business requirements
- Effectively manages and prioritizes workload delivering to tight deadlines
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal skills in English
- Proficiency in using BIM software and familiarity with digital twin concepts
- Managing teams to deliver goal achievement
- Maintain strict compliance with industry standards codes and regulations
- Comply with QIC governance requirements
- Knowledge of relevant industry and local standards codes and regulations
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, Project Management or related field
Experience
Minimum seven years' relevant experience in Engineering design within developers, contractors or consultants
