Role summary
We are seeking a Senior Accountant with solid experience in the marine and offshore industry to lead our financial reporting, tax compliance, and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of offshore business environments, vessel operations, and project-based accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports specific to marine and offshore projects
- Manage tax filings and compliance in accordance with local and international maritime regulations
- Supervise the accounting team, providing guidance and training on offshore cost tracking and reporting standards
- Support budgeting and forecasting for fleet operations, maintenance, and offshore contracts
- Analyze financial performance across marine assets and projects, providing insights to optimize cost efficiency and profitability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Specialization in marine or offshore accounting is preferred
- CPA or equivalent professional certification is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting roles within marine, shipping, or offshore oil and gas sectors
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, maritime accounting standards, and offshore regulatory frameworks
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to operational and cost details
