Role summary
Manage daily operational readiness, maintenance, repairs, and regulatory compliance of assigned vessels, focusing on high-spec assets like Rawabi Integrity.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all vessel maintenance and repair works ensuring completion on schedule and required standards
- Manage planned maintenance of engine room machinery and equipment for high-speed offshore support vessels
- Assess maintenance needs based on manufacturer and class requirements to identify necessary resources
- Assist in planning and execution of scheduled maintenance, dry dockings, and wet dockings
- Perform inspections ensuring vessel certifications are current and meet classification society and flag state standards
- Investigate causes of mechanical, equipment, or power system failures and recommend mitigating actions
- Ensure proper handover between incoming and outgoing Chief Engineers and relieve when required
- Prepare and safeguard maintenance records and documents for flag state, classification society, and ISM surveys
- Promote positive health and safety culture with focus on zero tolerance for injuries and incidents
- Identify Health, Safety, and Environmental risks and implement mitigation measures
- Advise Vessel Master on strategic decisions related to all technical activities
- Interface with Port Captain, service providers, and regulatory bodies for efficient fleet operations
- Liaise with clients on new guidelines and attend all client surveys for contract compliance
