Role summary
Manage the assigned warehouse according to Sadafco procedures and ensure best practices are implemented. Identify and execute continuous improvements and staff coaching for exceptional service to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned warehouse operations to deliver optimum quality, performance and cost effectiveness
- Plan and organize stock in the warehouse against changing operational requirements to ensure inventory availability and follow processes for improved security and inventory management
- Manage all warehouse activities including daily staff deployment to ensure optimum efficiency and monitor all absences including holidays and unauthorized absence
- Monitor and report warehouse operations performance including agreed KPIs and damage to stock. Ensure inbound is cleared quickly and all outbound orders are completed and dispatched to schedule including emergency orders
- Coordinate with the Transport department on all logistics associated with stock distribution and between external warehouse locations
- Ensure warehouse operations are in compliance with relevant customer contractual obligations and all publicized procedures and regulations including Quality, Health and Safety
- Develop, implement and monitor operational reporting procedures to ensure compliance. Suggest and drive improvements in operations as required
- Liaise with the Maintenance Supervisor on maintenance of all equipment and machinery in the warehouse to maintain operational continuity
- Manage warehouse team performance including rosters, performance reviews, learning and development, disciplinary matters and managing resource levels by liaising with the Operations Manager
- Perform other duties as requested by the Operations Manager
