Role summary
We are looking for a skilled Manager Powerplant (APU) to oversee maintenance and repair of all APU systems in our facility. The Manager will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and optimizing the performance of all APU units.
Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and repair of all APU systems, including troubleshooting, servicing, and testing
- Manage a team of technicians by providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent downtime and ensure maximum performance of all APU units
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory to track performance and identify areas for improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in managing APU systems maintenance, preferably in an aviation or manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and interact with other departments
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in APU maintenance
- Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and implement effective solutions to optimize APU performance
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Experience
Proven experience in managing APU systems maintenance, preferably in an aviation or manufacturing environment
