A Manager of Powerplant Cost, Contract & Vendor Management to oversee the financial aspects, contract negotiations, and relationship management with vendors for powerplant operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cost management strategies to optimize powerplant operations expenses
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring favorable terms for the organization
- Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contracts to ensure quality service delivery
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports on cost metrics, budget forecasts, and cost-saving opportunities
- Manage vendor relationships, resolving disputes and maintaining positive partnerships
- Stay updated on industry trends to recommend improvements in cost management and vendor practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus
- Proven work experience in cost management, contract negotiations, and vendor management in powerplant or energy industry
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data and trends
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Familiarity with legal aspects of contracts and vendor agreements
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
