Role summary
The role holder is responsible for leading and managing all procurement activities, taking ownership of the procurement process to ensure service delivery in a cost-effective manner in line with stated strategy and defined service level agreements, while adhering to established business policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform all procurement activities related to projects from RFP development to supplier selection and contract signature
- Provide inputs and execute sourcing strategy based on supervising director guidance
- Complete and report purchasing requests to supervising director
- Lead purchasing requests, evaluate completeness, classify according to value, risk, and financial factors, and assign to purchasing analysts
- Assist in managing SLAs for Tendered and Non-Tendered Change Orders as well as Change Orders for supplier market and spend categories
- Perform execution-focused service delivery functions and processes
- Provide input to supervising director to track supply market trends including competitive pressures, new entrants, substituting products or services, and changes in the value chain
- Contribute to developing segmentation criteria and mapping supply base to desired relationship type
- Provide input on supply and financial risks of suppliers to supervising director
- Manage and regularly update the catalogue of suppliers
- Lead potential procurement synergies with other subsidiaries and manage their implementation in coordination with Synergies department
- Manage business cases including need for cross-functional resources, timeframe and targets
- Review historical data to provide demand and consumption trends and track deviations
- Manage segmentation criteria and map supply base to desired relationship type
- Oversee business planning efforts with the Procurement Head
- Participate in addressing stc needs by working with other sectors and prioritize sourcing initiatives
- Supervise purchasing requirements and project specifications with unit management and suppliers

Education
Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree in Business Administration or Engineering preferred
Experience
4 to 6 years of prior experience in purchasing and procurement operations, and contract management in the telecommunication industry
