Role summary
An exciting opportunity is available for a Mechanical Specialist in Jubail. The specialist shall prepare procedures, conduct detailed inspections, develop equipment and system-specific maintenance checklists, develop maintenance repair and overhaul plans for diesel engines, lifting equipment (overhead cranes, forklifts, reach stackers) and HVAC systems, develop scope of work documents, review spare parts, provide technical evaluations of proposals and annual rated contracts, conduct risk assessments, and manage change evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of diesel engines, HVAC and lifting equipment and form repair recommendations
- Develop diesel engines, HVAC, lifting equipment and department scope-related equipment or system-specific task lists, PM plans and procedures
- Prepare scope of work for repair works, technical acceptance memorandum and annual rated contracts
- Provide technical evaluation of contracts and proposals
- Evaluate materials required for maintenance and repair works
- Conduct surveys and condition-based inspections of diesel engines, HVAC and lifting equipment and department scope-related equipment or systems
- Review spare parts and create requests for spare parts or material data governance
- Conduct risk assessments, root cause analysis and investigation of incidents
- Prepare failure reports
- Prepare capital expenses budgets
- Review and update drawings and documents
- Manage change initiation, MOC evaluation, periodic safety reviews, permit to start required (PSSR) and clearance for operation (CFO) and MOC closeout
- Perform criticality assessment and revaluation of assets and reliability and integrity-related actions
- Coordinate and supervise project handover and takeover activities and form records, updates and equipment master data uploads in SAP
- Perform as onsite lead during critical work or conditions
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering with 13 or more years of relevant experience
