Role summary
Process Engineer is responsible for overall monitoring and enhancing various plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide plant operations with technical inputs and support
- Prepare different Heat and Material balance scenarios
- Evaluate plant process and assess proposed design changes considering environmental and economic aspects
- Work closely with process chemists and control engineers to ensure maximum output and efficient facility operation
- Set up scale-up and scale-down processes with appropriate equipment design and configuration changes
- Evaluate design, installation, and commissioning of new projects including monitoring developments and troubleshooting
- Perform process simulations and assess plant expansion or reconfiguration options by developing and testing simulation models
- Perform risk assessments, manage cost and time constraints, provide process documentation and operating instructions
- Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and output quality
- Optimize production by analyzing processes and troubleshooting manufacturing process problems
- Evaluate equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Propose improved manufacturing processes and apply new technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
- 5 years of experience

- Petrochemicals process familiarization
- Specific knowledge of Ethylene Cracker (EC), Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH), Utilities processes
- Strong command of business-level written and spoken English
- Analytical thinking and problem solving
