Role summary
Perform installation, commissioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, fault analysis, and repairs on all Rental equipment. Perform assigned work in timely and accurate manner; develop initiative to learn and perform Electrical skills independently and with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair electrical problems on all Rental equipment
- Submit accurate and complete Inspection Reports as required by Service procedures at site
- Note and report all defects, damage, misuse, abuse or lack of maintenance on inspected equipment at site
- Fit, connect and arrange setups including cabling of Generators and Auxiliary equipment in conjunction with Service personnel, in accordance to technical specifications/requirements while maintaining safety precautions
- Perform manual synchronization of Generator sets to live utility signal using EMCP control panel
- Work overtime as required
- Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and precautions to protect self, others and equipment
- Liaise with Customer's site staff
- Liaise with Suppliers
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Vocational/Technical Diploma in Electrical followed by minimum 3-4 years in Electrical Apprenticeship
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years working in service and workshop on Diesel Generators (preferably CAT), transformers, panel boards and cablings
- Ability to work independently with good knowledge of English language to read and understand Service manuals and write Work Orders
- Arabic is desirable
- English is essential
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Vocational/Technical Diploma in Electrical followed by minimum 3-4 years in Electrical Apprenticeship
Experience
Minimum 5 years working in service and workshop on Diesel Generators (preferably CAT), transformers, panel boards and cablings
