Role summary
Perform internal auditing of company activities under the guidance of the Senior Auditor and assist in preparation of audit reports.
Responsibilities
- Plan audit assignments based on risk-based auditing principles
- Review means of safeguarding tangible and intangible company assets and verify their existence
- Review reliability and integrity of financial and operating information and identify, measure, classify and report such information
- Review systems established to ensure compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations impacting operations and reporting
- Review economy and efficiency with which resources are employed across all departments
- Report recommendations to eliminate duplication, waste, red tape and bureaucracy
- Prepare audit interim report and follow up on final report communication and actions taken on recommendations
- Execute any other responsibility assigned by Internal Audit Department management
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems or planning to pursue relevant certification
- Hold or be pursuing Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Information Systems Auditor certification or other internal auditing, controls or IT security certifications
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as member of international audit firm or internal auditing department or finance department in reputed organization
- Exposure to best practices in risk management, control and governance processes
- Hold a valid driving license
- Demonstrate financial acumen, risk assessment capabilities and data analysis skills
- Adopt forward-thinking mindset when delivering assurance and advisory services
Education
Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems
Experience
Minimum 1 year as member of international audit firm or internal auditing department or finance department of reputed organization
