Role summary
Work collaboratively with PSD senior technical officer to analyse customer specifications, respond to technical queries, and coordinate pricing with head office to satisfy client and consultant requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to sales team to ensure customer requirements are fully addressed
- Prepare technical data for non-standard quotations, compliance and deviation statements, and technical submittals from sales and customer information
- Visit customer sites to gather technical data for quotations or attend technical meetings to support customer decisions on power systems
- Support Product Support Department on technical issues related to new products
- Communicate with suppliers of generator-set attachments to obtain quotes, place orders and approve drawings
- Offer technical assistance to customers to ensure compatibility between Zahid equipment and other systems
- Specify correct equipment to meet customer requirements at competitive price levels
- Ensure machinery is delivered and commissioned within contract schedules and budgets
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- University degree in electrical engineering
- Knowledge of electric generator concepts
- Knowledge of machines and single line diagram analysis
Requirements
- Fluency in both English and Arabic
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in personal computer use and Microsoft Office
Education
University degree in electrical engineering
Experience
Minimum one year in similar industry, with consideration for fresh graduates with relevant attributes
