Role summary
Perform installation, commissioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, fault analysis, and repairs on all equipment and tools at the site. Perform assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner, developing the initiative to learn and perform electrical skills independently and with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements
- Inspect machines, engines, transmissions and conduct diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
- Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
- Troubleshoot and carry out routine preventive maintenance service on all rental equipment as outlined in the manufacturer's service manual or other published information in the workshop and in the field
- Submit accurate and complete inspection reports as required by service procedures at the site
- Note and report all defects, damage, misuse, abuse or lack of maintenance on the equipment inspected at the site
- Perform minor and major mechanical repairs within technical ability
- Work overtime when required
- Be ready to work at any location wherever required in the Kingdom
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-4 years in mechanical apprenticeship
- Minimum 2-3 years in electrical apprenticeship
Education
Secondary level education
Skills
- Field service and workshop knowledge on diesel engine generators, preferably CAT
- Aptitude in using various hand tools such as screwdrivers and hammers
- Aptitude in using precision measurement tools such as calipers
- Arabic is desirable
- English is essential
