Role summary
Manage procurement supervisors across all regions with clear objectives and procurement standards. Implement controls ensuring procurement procedures are conducted with highest integrity, efficiency, cost effectiveness and return on investment. Manage all local purchasing and procurement of goods or services from local and international suppliers. Evaluate and identify relationships with current suppliers in coordination with Supplier Relations & Contracts Manager. Negotiate major contracts for Zahid Group as a whole for key strategic suppliers with national and international presence based on Zahid quality standards including prompt delivery, competitive pricing and advantageous payment terms.
Responsibilities
- Assist departments in implementing procurement best practices and achieving set goals
- Manage local forecasting, sourcing, logistics, refurbishment, and material handling services
- Maintain quality standards, processes, and controls
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and budget guidelines
- Maximize savings through forecasting, skilled negotiations, and volume purchasing
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies, budget and procedures
- Source, select, and negotiate for the best purchase package
- Assist in sourcing alternative products, suppliers, or sub-contractors
- Liaise with accounts payable department for accurate invoice payment
- Maintain a log of procurement transactions and prices
- Investigate and resolve operational issues
- Handle corporate major projects and achieve department KPIs
Qualifications
- Degree in Supply Chain, Commerce or equivalent
- Procurement qualifications such as CIPP, CCMP, SRMP and equivalent certifications is a plus
Requirements
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation and production methods
- PC literacy skills specifically MS Office Application such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Arabic is desirable, English is essential
Education
Degree in Supply Chain, Commerce or equivalent
Experience
Minimum 7 to 10 years in Procurement or Supply Chain
