Role summary
The Head Hostess oversees daily operations of the reception and guest welcome area within the dining hall. The role ensures all guests receive a warm and professional welcome while maintaining high service standards and efficient guest flow. The Head Hostess supervises the Hostess/Receptionist team, supports the Reception Manager in coordinating operations, and assumes reception responsibilities in the manager's absence.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a friendly, professional, and hospitable manner upon arrival
- Maintain a visible presence at the reception area to support guest interactions
- Provide guidance and information regarding dining hall concept, vendors, services, and events
- Ensure guests receive prompt assistance and a positive first impression
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally, escalating to management when required
- Supervise and guide the Hostess/Receptionist team during daily operations
- Ensure hostesses maintain professional appearance and follow established service standards
- Provide support, direction, and coaching to team members for excellent guest service
- Coordinate hostess duties to ensure proper coverage of reception areas
- Assist Reception Manager in organizing daily reception operations
- Monitor reception desk and ensure efficient handling of guest-related processes
- Keep reception areas organized, presentable, and welcoming at all times
- Coordinate with floor staff and management for appropriate service levels
- Encourage guests to provide feedback regarding their dining experience
- Communicate guest feedback, suggestions, and improvements to management
- Support continuous improvement of guest service standards
Requirements

- Encourage guests to provide feedback regarding their dining experience
- Communicate guest feedback, suggestions, and service improvements to the Reception Manager and management team
- Support the continuous improvement of guest service standards
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hospitality, guest relations, or reception roles. Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role is preferred. Experience in restaurants, hotels, or large dining venues is considered an advantage.
